IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE – VESSELS OF HONOUR AND DISHONOUR (2 Timothy 2:20)

In my father’s house there are different vessels; vessels of gold, vessels of silver, vessels of clay even plastic vessels. 2 Timothy 2:20 All these vessels have their own responsibility and none of them is lesser than the other. As long as they stay in their place of calling, they are vessels of honour. Just like the scripture says; they are vessels unto honour and their vessels unto dishonour. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 What does it mean to be a vessel unto honour? Being a vessel unto honour means that you know who God has called you to be and you stay where God has placed you being faithful to what God has called you to be no matter what standing against  you; whether it is any form of offence that wants to pull you out of your place or a strife lurking at your corner. 2 Timothy 2:21 You can’t afford to give any place to the devil because you know that this is your place and this is your calling, so you stick to it. Romans 9:20-21 In my father’s house the vessel of gold is being displayed conspicuously on the center table for people to see and marvel.…

SETTLED

The word settled reveals the state of rest or peace by which all storms and billows are calmed and life is at its peak. It is God’s will for all to be settled. The situation where a life is settled is not actually the absence of chaotic situations or challenges of life, it is the presence of God in all spheres of such life. You must have seen men and women who have money but they are not settled. The kind of settlement we speak of is the inward peace that transcends all understanding. It is when God’s fullness dwells in a life and envelopes it that’s when a life is settled. Our total dependency on our heavenly father who supplies our needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus makes us settled. When a man lack peace and is void of understanding of the word, he isn’t settled. Glory to God for all he has done for us and the finished work on the cross and the resurrection to give us a new life. Today many of us do not accept the word as it were but confess that we truly believe. It is not just words…

TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSEL

In the city of Nazareth, there was a young boy his name was Paul. Paul was a very courageous boy from a tender age, he loves his father and mother and can’t help but follow what they believed in. He was raised to achieve one vision; to be a killer of Christians. He was trained to become one of the best in his country. He was also handsome and good-looking but he believed all that he was made for was to live for the cause of his parents which is so see that Christians and molested or killed. Acts 8:3 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. He believed that this is what his life was meant for and because of this he pursued it with all the strength.  In fact, after graduating from the University, he took it up as a career and went about from one city to another taking permission from lawyers and from other dignitaries in order to do this mission.  He went about ensuring that no follower of Jesus escape death. INNER BEAUTY- The Beauty that attracts God.

Beauty is definitely not only in the outlook of a woman. If beauty were limited to the appearance of a lady then many beauty queens that have gotten married to handsome prince would have secured a good home and family, it is amazing to find out that beauty does not comprises on the physical appearances of a lady alone. How she looks, appears when she had done her make-ups and her outfit.             Today our definition of beauty should be according to the standards of God as written in his word “beauty is vain but a woman who fears the Lord she shall be praised”… the scriptures defines beauty as an inner capacity, strength, flavor and aroma that attracts the attention of the King such that he cannot but resides in such a life. You may wonder from this definition, who is that King? What is that Inner capacity?  The beauty that the world defines after it is been seen and looked upon by the beholder, as time goes on begins to lose it worth, value, essence and importance. It won’t take long before he that admires such beauty begins to say otherwise in respect to this world defined beauty.…

BE AT ALERT! 1 Peter 5:8

One of the first thing you think when someone tells you to be at alert or vigilant is that you look around in fear to check what the problem is. When God uses this word, he is talking about the equipping of a man with the whole armour of God which is the perquisite to victory in life. I Peter 5:8             The truth is this; we have an adversary who is always looking around for people he could devour in ignorance, fear, shame, covetousness, pride and other works of the flesh. Anyone who dwells in these things is whatever the Devil and his cohorts are doing. We must stand against man in spirit realm without taking chances as a spiritual being, we have all the right to control every situation and we are master over all circumstances. (Luke 12:32) Probably we have forgotten who God made us, our purpose and identity. Romans 8:15 We are God’s image revealed in Christ Jesus, the glory of the Father established on earth. I am happy to tell you that he Loves you forever. II Timothy 1:7 As a soldier will always be at alert and well armed with weapons, not checking around…

WALKING IN THE TRUTH (John 8:32)

Truth is the genuineness of information or something very important. It is important to note that the truth does not change at all. It remains constant and can stand the test of time. When a man begins to engage him/herself in things that are not true, it can really affect such life negatively.  The truth is essential especially in this generation where everyone loves to tell one or more lies to cover up on their responsibilities. The plan of the devil in this generation is to cause people not to believe in the truth such that they can be easily deceived. The scripture say in John 8:32 “.and you shall know the truth and the truth shall sets you free”. It is certain that the truth cannot fail at all even because it brings light to all circumstances and situation that it comes across. The truth in our country today has totally become a scarce commodity that is very expensive to come by. Many people began their life with the truth but along the way so that was corrupted by flattering coming from the pit of hell Daniel 11; God want us to stand firm in the truth such that…

EXCESS LOVE

A scenario came to mind as I was meditating on the love of God for me. There is a scenario one who is the not the father or mother of a child when the child offends him/ her as the case may be. They may say, “I never want to see you again. Just get out of my sight” and they meant it. They can afford to throw away their relationship with such child without looking back because of course the child is not theirs. Its easy to discard him/her. You have not invested over such child neither do have you gone through any sacrificial experience to get or protect the child so, you don’t really care. The second scenario is that of one who gave birth to that child when the child offends them and they are really angry with the child. Though they are angry with the child, they can never say get out of my life or out my sight I don’t want to see you again, never! No way. Even when they say get away, they are still the one who goes to such child and correct him/her explaining why they are angry and why he/she…

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Spiritual growth is a crucial part of life which no man can afford to joke with this is because man himself is a tripartite being. He is a Spirit with a soul and lives in a body therefore the need to grow spiritually is important in all forms of human endeavor. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 Just like when a child is born, he needs to be nurtured and well taken care of to enhance his growth physically in the same manner a Spirit man needs to be fed and needs to be well nurtured in order to bring him into full manifestation of his potentials or abilities. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2 Though growth is essential but we must understand that growth needs to happen in a proper way. How do we achieve this? For instance, when a child does not feed on…

ABSOLUTE TRUST

Those who trust in the Lord are steady as Mount Zion, unmoved by any circumstance. Ps 125:1 (TLB) 11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. 12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Ps 5:11-12 (KJV) Have you ever been in a situation where you need someone to lean on?      11 But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten. Jeremiah 20:11 (KJV) Everyone have in one or the other has been in such situations Acts17:28. Many times theses situation has led to some people’s greatness and while some others met their death or were crushed down under such burdens.                   4 Don’t be afraid — you’re not going to be embarrassed. Don’t hold back — you’re not going to come up short. You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a…

GOD’S CREATION AND HIS WISDOM

The main alternative to the concept of God creating everything is the theory of evolution. It suggests that everything we see is the product of blind chance and random changes that add up to order out of chaos and complexity out of simplicity. It takes a great leap of faith to accept evolution as fact. It is totally wrong to suggest that God used evolution to produce the world as we know it because he plainly tells us he created the world as, including humans, in a logical and orderly manner. The bible mentions creation often. We learn from John 1, Colossians 1, Hebrews 1, and many other passages that Jesus is the creator. Blind chance could not possibly have resulted in the wisdom we see all around us in the created world. Psalm 104 in its entirety gives more examples of the creators’ wisdom. We also know facts about the natural world that show God’s wisdom in creation; like symbiotic relationships, where one creature is dependent on another for existence. They could not logically have evolved independently and then somehow become dependent.   God’s wisdom as seen in His creation (Psalm 104:24-30) The earth is full of God’s riches,…
